Show LYNNDYL . . . Mrs. Chester Bowers and son returned from Salt Lake Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jackson of Nephi spent a few days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bowers. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allen went as far as Salt Lake with Private Gaven Wier on his way to Camp White, Oregon. Mr. Alma Banks spent Thursday Thurs-day in Salt Lake visiting his wife who is in the L D S hospital. She is recovering nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark have gone to Los Angeles on account of Mr. Clark's health. Cards received from Mrs. Clark say that they are getting plenty of liquid sunshine. Mrs. Royal Terry and Mrs. Wm. Coleman were Salt Lake visitors last week. Mrs. Mary Smith returned to her home in Salt Lake after visiting her husband, Jim Smith. Mrs. Frances Fernley and son Neil returned to her home in Ca-liente Ca-liente after visiting a few weeks with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Nielson and family were Springville visitors this week. Miss W. Roundy of Escalante is visiting her brother's family, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Roundy. Mrs. Roundy spent a few days visiting her sister, Mrs. Carlile Gronning in Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Spangler are moving to Salt Lake to make their home. Mr. Spangler is employed em-ployed by the Union Pacific as : train master.' Mrs. C. E. Simpson and daughter Mrs. Ellis Thompson, were Salt Lake visitors. A number of Lynndyl people attended at-tended the banquet given for the building of the new church in Delta. Del-ta. Those who enjoyed the evening were: Mr. and Mrs. Earl Great-house, Great-house, Mr. and Mrs. Clead Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Whatcott, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Woodbury, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Roper, Mrs. Coleman, Mr. and Mrs. Royal Terry, Bishop and Mrs. Lyle Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Smith, Frances Allen, Dee Hayse, Edith May Vest and Willie Lovell; Beverly Larsen, Dean Nielson, Niel-son, and Eldonna Coleman, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Pendray, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Thompson went to Provo Pro-vo Monday to attend a birthday dinner, for Harry Wilkie. A new case of scarlet fever has developed, Bobby Huddleston being be-ing the victim. Mrs. Teressa Terry has gone to South Dakota to visit her son Bruce, who is serving in the armed arm-ed forces there. SHOWER GIVEN Thursday Mrs. Irvin Whatcott and Mrs. Leonard Dutson of Leamington Leam-ington gave a shower in honor of Mrs. Clea Dutson, a recent bride, and whose husband is in training in Texas. The shower was held at the ward hall and many interesting interest-ing and funny games were played. A delicious luncheon was served to a large crowd of friends and relatives re-latives and many beautiful and useful gifts were received by the bride. Those helping with the serving and refreshments were: Mrs. Florence Flor-ence Woodbury, Mrs. Kate Hayse, Mrs. Jenny Huddleston and Mrs. Georgia Philips. Mrs. Clea Dutson spent the week end in Salt Lake , visiting friends and relatives. |
