Show Pick Committees For Coming Livestock Show Premium List Totals $1480; To Be Awarded Boys with Good Records , The Millard County Junior Livestock Live-stock Show met in the high school Tuesday evening to set the premiums pre-miums for the coming livestock show and also appoint committees for the various departments. The meeting was conducted by Edgar Nielson, president of this year's show. Premiums to be awarded were raised in all the divisions with the fat beef getting the largest share, with $500 allotted to that division. Others received as follows, breeding beef, $200; Dairy, $150; Fat lamb, $200; breeding sheep, $150; fat hogs, $150; and breeding hogs, $130. The total set aside for premiums pre-miums was $1480. Committees appointed were: Ringmaster, Herman Munster with Elbert Stephenson and Bernard Munster as his helpers; Breeding beef, Leo Stott, chairman; Russell Styler and John J. Stephenson; Fat beef, Esdras Flnlinson, chairman; Fred Nielson (more will be put on this'committee later); Dairy, W. R. Walker, chairman; Fat lambs, Rex Bunker, chairman, Jay Gardner and Ralph Erickson; Breeding sheep, Clark Bishop, chairman, Eugene Sanford and Rulon Jones; Fat hogs, Clead Nielson, chairman, Mike Mortensen and Wayne Petersen; Peter-sen; Breeding hogs, John Nielson, chairman, Dale Pearson, Quin Shepherd and Arthur Allen; Advertising, Adver-tising, Frank S. Beekwith and Bill Pace; Sales, George Whornham and Jack Singleton. The banquet and concessions were left up to the executive committee com-mittee for determination at a later date. The show this year is headed by Edgar Nielson, as president; Orran Ashby, vice-president; Dewey Sanford, San-ford, general manager, and Lawrence Law-rence Christensen, assistant manager. |
