Show Red Cross i Drive Goes Over the Top Collections Total $3,951.53 Wi.h Two More Towns To Complete Reports To Leaminprton goes the honors for being the firs! community in West Millard to go over the top in the Red Cross drive. Thev n -ported last Friday afternoon' that they had collected ?JiX2: as against a quota of S1T5. Soon after aft-er they had reported Deseret and Sutherland called that they were also over the top. The whole of West Millard is over the top bv more than SL'OO with Oak Citv and Lynndyl still to report their' final figures, which will swell the total even more. A tea was held at the home of Mrs. Cecil Baker on Wednesday at which chairmen and workers from the various communities attended. At the tea t hoy made their reports as follows: South Tract $ fiY.on Delta South 437.70 Delta North 4SS.L'5 Oasis 180.75 Sutherland 30S.50 Woodrow 1S6.75 Leamington 200.25 Deseret 315.50 "Lynndyl 233.68 Hinckley 3R2.50 Oak City 147.00 Abraham 48.00 Delta Business Houses 952.65 Total ' 53,951.53 Lynndyl and Leamington have not completed their drives so these figures will be larger. The successful conclusion of the Red Cross drive reflects highly on the generosity of the communities here, and especially when it is remembered re-membered that the quota, $3700, was the largest by far that has ever been asked of West Millard. As chairman of West Millard- in this recent drive. Mrs. Cecil Baker wishes to thank chairmen and workers for their splendid job, and also thanks the people who donated donat-ed so rapidly and generously. |
