Show BY GLORIA WALKEH Marilyn Skidmore is home from the USAC visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. Evan Skidmore. Delia Johnson and Dale Johnson, both attending the BYU spent the weekend visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Johnson. We wish to congratulate Miss Virginia Henrie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cutler Henrie, who has been elected to vice president of the student body at the BAG. The Sunday School program was given by the children of the ward honoring mothers. Each mother was presented with a potted plant. Each class gave a part on the program. There was a vocal trio consisting of Elaine Sorenson, Kay Moody and Virginia Rose; .a xylophone xylo-phone solo by Mrs. Ora Mae B. May; and a talk, "Tribute to. Our Mothers," by Richard May. Meeting Sunday night was In charge of home missionaries Clark Bishop and Eldon Erickson. Mrs. Bishop and Mrs. Erickson also spoke. Mignon Erickson and Bonnie Bon-nie Johnson played a piano duet. The first five grades from the Sutherland school spent Monday at the sand hills on a picnic. Mr. Soderquist took his room to the old mud fort and Sugarloaf moun tain on Saturday. Monday the Home Builders girls group of Primary gave a party ior their mothers. They gave a program pro-gram and served lunch. Each mother mo-ther was presented with a flower. Their teachers are Mrs. Ida Bun- Spanish Fork where Wally Beth showed her baby beef. She received receiv-ed fourth place with her steer. Bonnie Bunker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lamond Bunker, celebrated cele-brated her tenth birthday at a party Thursday. Twenty-one little girls were present for games and birthday refreshments. They toasted toast-ed marshmallows at the fireplace outside later. ker and Ms. Mary Johnson. Mrs. Dora Munster's Primary class also held a program for their mothers on Monday. The youngsters young-sters gave parts on the program and then served punch and cookies cook-ies to the mothers. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderson and children are visiting with Ruth's sisters and brother, Bernard Bern-ard Jackson, Delia Johnson and Maxene Owens. Mr. and Mrs. Price of Cedar City visited over the Mother's Day holiday hol-iday with Mrs. Price's mothers, Mrs. Jennie Thornton. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Peterson Johnson attended funeral services in Poca-tello Poca-tello this week for Mr. Peter Johnson's brother. Mrs. Lena Steele spent Saturday in Salt Lake City visiting and on business. Mr. .and Mrs. George Corry received re-ceived word this week that their son, Keith, had received his re-1 lease from the Navy. Keith has served in the Navy for the past four years. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Porter and daughter left this week for California Cal-ifornia with Mrs. Porter's mother, Mrs. Vera Hilton. While in California Cal-ifornia they will meet Elder Bruce Hilton who is returning home after aft-er completing a mission in that ' area. Mr. and Mrs. Nels Brumley spent Thursday in Provo on business. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fowles and Kenneth Porter attended the military mili-tary ball at Cedar City Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Williams and son, Von, of Kanosh spent Sunday visiting with Mrs. Williams' Wil-liams' parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Walker. Mr. Ron Mortensen spent a few days in Salt Lake City last week. On his return home he visited the stock show in, Spanish oFrk. Mr. Wallace Holman and daughter, daugh-ter, Wally Beth, spent last week in |
