Show Oiik City Mae H. Shipley Sunday mothers in Oak City "were Queens for a day". A very lovely program was given in the Sunday School to show honor for the mother visitrs in the large audience present and the beautiful beaut-iful day added much to the pleasant plea-sant Mother's Day. The wedding dance for Mr. and Mrs. Don Peltigrew tAfton Lovell) was a lovely success. Many people peo-ple attended bringing useful and beautiful presents. The bride was lovely in white lace. His mother was present also. Miss Armstrong, a close friend of the couple was visiting for the wedding reception. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Talbot were very happy to have two grandchildren grand-children blessed Sunday. Their son Daryl and their daughter Viola's babies. Mr. and Mrs. Afton Faw-cett Faw-cett are living at Beaver and are visiting a few days in Oak City. Mrs. Caddie Anderson had her daughter, Kathryn Kathryn and son, Doyle and their families visit for Mother's Day. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Roper spent several days in California. They wenitw ith their daughter and husband, hus-band, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Roper had their daughter, Wanetta and family fam-ily visit for oMther's Day. Lt. Joe W. Atkins and family vis ited their parents and friends in Oak City. They were on their way to San Francisco where he will be stationed for two months. He has just returned from the Far East Command. Sunday evening Elder Clead . Nielson gave a report of his mis-I mis-I sionary labors at the Sacrament services. A large crowd were present pre-sent including his mother and all of his six brothers and sisters and families were present. His remarks were very interesting and given in a fine way. Mrs. Grant Flnlinson and children child-ren spent Monday at Spanish Fork. |
