Show Mental Health Is Theme Of County-wide Meet A conference on "Mental Health and the Family" is scheduled in Millard County March 13 and 14, with a series of meetings both days. The conference is sponsored by the Millard school district, Utah State Mental Hygiene association, state department of Public Instruction Instruc-tion and east and west Millard PTA councils. The general theme of the conference confer-ence will be children and mental growth. The meetings are open to the public. All parents and everyone every-one interested are invited to attend. at-tend. Thursday, March 13, the meetings meet-ings will be held during the day in east Millard communities, and the night session will be held in Milard high school in Fillmore. Friday, March 14, meeting will be held during the day in West Millard communities, and the night meeting will be in Delta high school. Speakers at the conference will be Arch M. Thurman, director of pupil personnel of Salt Lake City School District, Miss Helen, R. Henderson, Hen-derson, director of social services of Department of Psychiatry, U. of U. medical school, Dr. Ija N. Kor-ner, Kor-ner, assistant professor of psychiatry psychi-atry U. of U. medical school, and chief psychologist of the Department Depart-ment of Psychiatry, and George A. Kromhout, M. D., research fellow, fel-low, Department of Psychiatry, C. of U. medical school. They will be led by Miss Wini-ft-ed Hazen, family life state consultant con-sultant of the Department of Public Pub-lic Instruction. |
