Show SUTHERLAND... BY GLORIA WALKER Mr. and Mrs. Frelen Shurtz and Mrs. Leo Davis weer in Salt Lake for the week end visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sanford and her sister, Miss Wilna Wixom, left Thursday to attend the teachers' institute. Mrs. Dale Weber is teaching school here this week as Mrs. Eleanor Roberts is ill. Dick Clark was elk hunting this week and brought home a nice one Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Shurtz are elk hunting this week. Mr. and Mrs. George Jenson and family were in Richfield visiting over the week end. Virgil Losee returned to his home last week after spending two years in the Texas-Louisianna mission feild. Friday, Mr. and Mrs. I. H. Losee and Virgil journeyed to Salt Lake where they attended conference. Bishop Hai'old Jehsell and son, Ralph attended conference in Sait Lake City. Mrs. Kathryn Clark went to Long Beach last week. She attended the wedding of her daughter, Dora Mae, on Saturday. Mary Lin Abbott and a friend from Hill Field spent the ween end visit her parents, Mr .and Mrs. George Abbott. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Oliver from Tooele visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Ashby, over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Holman received word they have a new grandson. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tomer. Mr. Oscar Soderquist visited in Salt Lake last week end, where he watched the World Series ball game on television. He will return to Salt Lake again this week for teachers institute. Mr. and Mrs. J. Lester Johnson and family spent the week end visiting relatives in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Reid Tippetts and children left this week for South Dakota where they will visit Mrs. Tippetts' sister and family. Mrs. Ivan Sorenson and Mrs. Avon Barney were in Salt Lake last week helping their father get moved. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Porter went to Parowan this week to get sheep. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Johnson attended at-tended conference in Salt Lake last week. They stopped in Provo and picked up their daughter, Del-la, Del-la, who went on to Salt Lake with them. Bishop and Mrs. Frank Lyman were conference visitors. Grant Bishop is elk hunting at this time with his brother Ted Bishop. Mrs. Eldon Erickson has moved back to her home here for the winter. Betty Bunker visited with her parents last week. Betty is attending at-tending nursing school in Salt Lake City. Brose Roberts and Wilfred Mun-ster Mun-ster went to Panguitch last week to get sheep. Mr. and Mrs. V. S. Day and child ren from TOD Park visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bennett. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Owens went to Mackey, Idaho, last week to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roth well. Gene returned home Sunday, but Shirley will remain there for a while to visit her father who is ill. Mrs. Bessie Fowles is here from Salt Lake City staying with her son, Jack, to cook for the threshing thresh-ing crew. Sunday night meeting was In charge of the Bishopric. Millard Owens, Joe Barney, Vivian Ekins, and Dora Rose were the speakers, and the choir furnished a special musical number. Mrs. W. R. Walker returned to her home last week from Kanosh. Charles Williams, her son-in-law, has been released from the hospital hos-pital and was allowed to come home to convalesce from his recent re-cent illness. Mrs. Lois Hinckley was in Salt Lake last week end for medical care. Mrs. LaVar Owens is in Logan this week. Mrs. Helen Fowles spent Tuesday Tues-day In Provo for medical attention. t |
