Show Millardites Mrs. Rachel Simpson If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life wheel he has imagined, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours Thoreau. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allen and daughter, Ruby, returned from a week's vacation in San Bruno, Cal., where they visited Mrs. Mae Miller Mrs. Paul Crum left Provo and went to Salt Lake Saturday where she boarded the train for Rock Springs, Wyo., where she will visit her parents for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Peter H. Shields who came to Utah by covered wagon wa-gon in 1894, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. They lived for several years at Clear Lake and Swan Lake, Millard Co., and later made their home in Fillmore. Fill-more. Their two daughters are Mrs. Pearl Warner and Mrs. Leona Huntsman both of Fillmore. Open house will be held in honor of the anniversary Friday at Fillmore. Friday afternoon Thelma Clark spent the afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Mef Majers in Provo and had dinner after which they went to the Eagle lodge. Mrs. Majers and Mrs. Effie Allen served fruit salad and cookies. A picture show was given that was very interesting. Wednesday evening Mr. and Mrs Roy Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ait-kins, Ait-kins, Mr. and Mrs. Pau Crum, Mrs. I Effie Allen, Mrs. Norma Majers and Mrs. Rachel Simpson enjoyed a pleasant evening at the house warming honoring Mr. and Mrs. Leon Shaw in Orem. Pinochle was played with Thelma Clark winning high score for ladies and Paul Crum high for the men. Rachel Simpson and Roy Clark, consolation prizes. Mrs. Erma Lou Olson and mother, Mrs. McCord, assisted with the serving. A lovely table and whatnot what-not shelf were presented to Mr. and Mrs. Shaw. Tuesday Mrs. Beryl Crum drove into Provo from Orem and had lunch with Mrs. Rashel Simpson. Mrs. Mary Crum and daughter, Judy, of Salt Lake are visiting in San Bernardino, Cal., with Mrs. Jean Jeffers and son, Bill, who have moved there from Lynndyl. Mr. and Mrs. Don Williams of Tooele were Provo visitors Saturday Satur-day and drove to Leamington to visit Mr. and Mrs. Charles Williams, Will-iams, also Mr. and Mrs. Bill Simpson Simp-son and Jay at Lynndyl before returning re-turning to Tooele Sunday. Monday Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills and Molly of Lynndyl and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Olsen, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Shaw were dinner guests at the Roy Clark home in Orem. |
