Show DIIS vs. Monroe Wednesday Night Delta high school basketballmen will play Monroe in the game set for Wednesday night, Dec. 13, in Palomar, in the preseason line-up. Monroe will bring a fast team here and their record so far this year is "unbeaten". maintained it through out the 1st half. HHS showed up very well in the preliminary game against a taller and older team. They succeeded in gaining a victory of 35-22 to even out the score when Snow defeated de-feated them in a previous game. Lincoln to Meet Mustangs on Sat. Lincoln High at Panaca, Nevada will invade the HHS Mustangs home grounds for a court battle Saturday night at 8 p. m. in the Hinckley gym. We've seen what this team can do in football, but this is their first demonstration in basketball. The game promises to be a very exciting and interesting one. To See Film on Alcoholism . . . Arthur D. Slater, a representative of the Utah State Board of Alcoholism Alcoh-olism presented a lecture and film to the studentbody on Tuesday. He explained the Board's stand on the problem of drinking and urged moderation in all ways. The film entitled "Drunken Driving" present ed how a little caution can pre- . vent tragedy. The students were greatly impressed by both the 'film and lecture. |
