Show Garden Clubs Set Plans For Annual Fair Flower Show West Millard county Flower Show to be held in connection with the county fair August 11 at Deseret, will be sponsored by the Garden Cubs of west Millard. The flower show is free to the public, both to see and enter. Personal Per-sonal entries will be judged under the department it is classified under. un-der. There will be no private town displays. State judges have been acquired to judge the entries. During the month of July each town or Garden Club will hold a public demonstration of floral arrangement. ar-rangement. Rules for iudeine will be published the first week of l July. Each Garden Club will accept their responsibiities as follows for the flower show: Artistic Arrangements, Arrange-ments, Delta, Deseret and Leamington; Leam-ington; Horticulture grouping Lynn dyl, Sutherland, Oak City; Special Rose Show, Artistic and Horicult-ure, Horicult-ure, Sugarville, Hinckley; Species and Specimen Oasis, Abraham. Officers of each Garden Club will organize each department as listed, list-ed, keeping two hostesses in each j department each hour of the day during the flower show. A complete com-plete record will be kept of each entry. IS DISTRICT SUPERVISOR At the Federation of the Utah Garden Club convention held June 21 at the Newhouse hotel, Mrs. Beth Mecham Anderson, Hinckley was elected as district supervisor of the Garden Club of Millard county. co-unty. West Millard county was credited credit-ed with having the largest list of clubs organized and one of the best or outstanding programs for the year in the state. Pres. C. R. Walters presented Mrs. Anderson with a book for the successful work she had accomplished ac-complished this year. All club and program work will be under her supervision. She requests that each town and club check with her on all year work, and help support the County Fair. |
