Show Sutherland Mr. and Mrs. Warren of Spring-ville Spring-ville brought their mother, Mrs. Letitia Johnson, here for a visit with her sons, Earl and Ammon Johnson, and daughter, Mrs. Pat Barney. Mr. and Mrs. Armond Ogden, went to Salt Lake City Wednesday where Mrs. Ogden wil have dental work done. Ivo Ogden is in Salt Lake City on a business trip. John Walker left Saturday for Hamilton Field, Cal., where he will take 6 weeks of ROTC summer camp training. He flew by plane from Salt Lake on account of train schedules being cancelled. Miss Flora May, from Salt Lake City, spent the week end here with her parents, Mr. and, Mrs. Morgan May, who took her back Monday. The doings out at the Marve Moodys are - - Marve and Marie spent a Sunday recently visiting in a church capacity at Callao. Gordon visited in Salt Lake and a attended the wedding of a friend Thursday and Friday. Mr and Mrs. Burr are here frpm Concord, Cal., for two weeks. Mr. Moody and Mr. Burr are taking a short fishing fish-ing trip. The MIA summer activity schedule sched-ule for Tuesday night were Gleaners Glean-ers and M-Men with teachers, Del-la Del-la Johnson and Gordon Moody, met at the home of Mrs. Johnson and had a lesson and refreshments The First BeeHive group, with teachers, tea-chers, Elma Frazier and Manon Erickson, held a potluck supper. Senior Scouts and Junior Girls, and teachers, Vivian Ekins and Rulon Jones, had a progressive supper. They met the Ekins home, then Cutler Henrie's and Armond Og-den's. Og-den's. Later they enjoyed a scavenger scav-enger hunV The second group of Beehive met at Betty Johnson's, teacher, where a first aid demonstration was given by Shirley Harris De-lapp. De-lapp. The MIA Maids met at Sandra San-dra Rawlinson's for a slumber party. The Explorer Scouts attend ed a show and had refreshments later at Porters. We don't know just what the Scouts did, but saw them start off on a hay rack ride on Paul Ekins truck. The Special Interest group are holding a sandhill sand-hill party Wednesday night. Miss Laurella Thorderson, of Cleveland, Utah, has been visiting her cousin, Sandra Rawlinson, for a couple of weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Porter and Bishop and Mrs. Lyman started on their vacation Tuesday. Their destination destinat-ion was undetermined. The Jay Bennett family are really having a time with the mumps. After the children all had mumps, Mrs. Bennett is ' just recovering re-covering from them. Now Jay has them. Mrs. Ervin Fowles and family, from Salt Lake City, are living here on their farm for the summer. sum-mer. They are building a new house in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Frelen Shurtz and Mrs. Leo Davis were hostesses to the Jolly Stitchers Friday at the Shurtz home. There was a large attendance. attend-ance. Athena B.
