Mrs. Norman Gardner was the visitor represent ing the stake board. Mr. Gardner tdMrs. Parley Elder have had their daughter, Fern, visiting them during the past week. Fern is recovering from an operation and has been in a Salt Lake hos-Dltal hos-Dltal for some time. P Mr. and Mrs. Parley A. Powell visited their daughter, Esther Anderson An-derson and family. They were re-' re-' turning to their home in Salt Lake City after spending the winter m ' Arizona. , Mrs. Albert Christensen and her 1 daughters, Verona nd , went to Salt Lake City Wednes- day They went to visit Mrs. Chris-; Chris-; tensen's son, Myron, before he left for the mission field. Mrs Myrtle Lovell and son, 1 Clead'were in Salt Lake City last WWarren Henderson and Esdras ! Finlinson attended the basketball r tournament in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Finlinson, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Finlinson and son, David, and Mrs. Julia Bliss went 1 ot Salt Lake Saturday where they oonHoH the ball eames. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nielson were visitors over the weekend from Logan where Bob is attending attend-ing school. Richard and Grover Christensen and Genevieve Anderson of the USAC were also home for the weekend. Edith Anderson and friend, Ra-yola, Ra-yola, were home from nurses' school visiting Edith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Anderson. Other students who have been visiting home for a few days are Grant Harris from the BYU and Scott Sheriff and Paul Finlinson from Mesa college. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence East and daughters Eldula and Joleen, spnt the weekend visiting in Oak City. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Mathews and chidren of Nephi visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Roper. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Nielson of Salt Lake City spent , the past week in Oak City with Byron's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Anderson were Salt Lake visitors over the weekend. Alice D. Anderson is teaching school for Phil Robison, who is in the Utah Valley hospital at Provo where he was operated upon for appendicitis. The - Sunday evening services were given by the choir, honoring their leader, E. Q. Dutson, who has been with them for 55 years. Wil-na Wil-na Wixom gave a talk on music and Mrs. Frankie Finlinson gave a history of the choir and happenings hap-penings of the last 60 years. "Hosannah" anthem and "King of Glory" were sung by tha choir. Friday evening, March 24, a dance will be held in the ward hall to help raise funds for the new electric organ project that is being sponsored by the M Men and Gleaner classes. |
