Show , Millarriiics Mrs. Rachel Simpson Nothing is a better test of a man than hearing himself praised. March 14 marked a very defin-ate defin-ate date for Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Johnson of Provo. A baby daughter daugh-ter was born to them at the Utah Valley hospital. It was also Shirl's birthday and their wedding anniversary. anniv-ersary. They also have a son, Dennis Den-nis Reed. Shirley and Beverly were both residents of Lynndyl and Beverly Bev-erly graduated from Delta high school. Shirley graduates from the BYU in June. The proud grand -parents are Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lar sen and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Johnson John-son of Provo. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Walker of Sutherland. Mrs. Thelma Clark spent Monday Mon-day in Salt Lake. Ray has been quite ill this week with the flu. Monday evening Mrs. Norma Ma jers . and Rachel spent the evening even-ing in Orem at the Paul Crum home playing cards. Light refreshments refresh-ments were served. Monday Mrs. Effie Allen spent the day with her niece Mrs. George Geo-rge Godfrey and enjoyed a delicious delici-ous luncheon. Mr. and Mrs. Don Williams of Tooele spent Sunday visiting in Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Dur-ward Dur-ward Clark and family. Miss Mary Ann Godfrey of Provo attended the tournament in Salt Lake. She attends the BY high. Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wagner of Salt Lake were Provo visitors. They spent; some time with Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Ivie, Mr. and Mrs. Kirt Roper, Effie Allen and had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Clark. Mr., and Mrs. Harold Home of Salt Lake were also guests at the Clark home. Tuesday Mrs. Effie Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Frand and George Godfrey God-frey attended a book review at the Berg Mortuary in Provo. Thursday the Eagle Ladies Aux., held their regular business meeting meet-ing with Kay Atkins Thelma Clark Beryl Crum and Norma Majers. Effie Allen, Norma Majers were chosen as Inside Guard for the Lodge. Word was received from Los Angeles that Don James had met with an accident and injured his head quite severly. Mrs. Rachel Simpson spent Friday Fri-day and Saturday in Spanish Fork visiting Mrs. Harry Elmer. Mrs. Ruby Bunker and two ladies lad-ies of Springville visited in Provo with Mrs. Rachel Simpson. Mrs. Bunker is a former Delta resident. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Simpson were pleasantly surprised when their cousin, Bp. and Mrs. Rex White of Goshen visited them Friday. Mrs. Beryl Crum, Thelma Clark, Kay Aitkins, Effie Allen will all go to Murray Wednesday when a Ladies Eagle Lodge is being installed. in-stalled.
