Show First Concert Set I For March 31 By Desert Sentinels The Desert Sentinels, the male j chorus sponsored by the Delta Junior Chamber of Commerce, will give their first public concert in the Delta high school auditorium Thursday night, March 31. Their second concert will be given in Hinckley on April 7. With 55 males voices in the chor us, and a winter of weekly rehearsals re-hearsals accomplished, the music-lovers music-lovers of the community await with deep interest this first con- 1 cert Men singers from west Millard communities form the chorus, and have practiced with pleasure that is reflected in their program. i Some of the numbers that will be sung are the chorus theme song, "Thy Sentinel Am I," "Pledge to the Flag," "The Ranger Song," "The Lord's Prayer," "Battle Hymn of the Republic," "Alice Blue Gown," and "This is My Country. ' Approximately 15 or 16 numbers will be given in all, including a few novelty numbers, like "The Animals Are Coming." Arrangements Arrange-ments are being made to bring in a guest soloist for the concert. ' Ladd R. Cropper directs the group, and Mrs. Cropper is their accompanist. J. E. Wright serves as business manager for the chorus Following their first concert, others are being planned for the year, ij with dates being made for other j towns in Utah. i Reserved seats are now on sale .j in Delta and Hinckley for the two performances. : i |
