They will keep two dates Friday, with a concert in Dixie college at 2:45 p. m.. go-ing go-ing in as a lyceum program, S that night at 8, they will Sng in Cedar City on a program sponsored by the Master Singers. The Cedar City invitation was extended to the chorus last spring, spr-ing, and in exchange, the Master Mas-ter Singers plan a program in Delta next April. Another exchange ex-change program is being arrang ed with the Mendelssohn chorus chor-us in Provo, and the Sentinels have been invited to sing at Scipio, Nephi, Spanish Fork and Santaquin. The Desert Sentinels will give their annual concert in Del ta on Wednesday night, Dec. 28, a date eagerly looked forward for-ward to by the many in west Millard, who enjoy their singing Last Thursday night the chorus gave a most successful program in Kanosh, at a benefit spon-sored spon-sored by the Kanosh Jay Cees. Their program, as now read ied, opens with the theme song, "Thy Sentinel Am I", and includes in-cludes folk songs and numbers from the classics. Ladd R. Cropper, Crop-per, director ofthe chorus, sings two bass solos. His wife, Mrs. Mae Gardner Cropper, and Mrs. Ruth Talbot, are accompanists and play a piano duet ...'.Since the Desert Sentinels organized or-ganized 14 months ago, they have never missed their weekly 2-hour rehearsals. The 65 members mem-bers recently bought new midnight mid-night blue tuxedos for their pub lie appearances. Officers of the organization are Rulon Callister, president, and Jan Wright, business bus-iness manager. The chorus is sponsored b ythe Delta Junior ; Chamber of Commerce. i |
