Show Partridge Family Holds Reunion In Oak Creek Saturday afternoon over 300 members of the family of Bishop Edward Partridge held their family reunion in Oak Creek conyan. The family gathered from all parts of Utah, many from Salt Lake City, Brigham City, and some from Blanding. The Millard county men bers served the lunch for all at the picnic site in the canyon, and after the afternoon program, cold watermelons water-melons were served. A short business session was held for financial reports. E. L. Lyman of Delta, was elected president presi-dent of the family organization for the next two years. Guy P. Stevens of Salt Lake City a former Deltan, and past president presi-dent of the family group, had charge of the program this year. Family histories were given and a history of Bishop Partridge, founder found-er of the family, and first bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Nauvoo. Also on the program were musical mus-ical numbers by Mrs. Thelma Anderson An-derson of Oak City, and her daughter; daugh-ter; Ruth Partridbe, reporter for the Provo Herald, led community singing, and played the guitar. E. L. Lyman gave two readings and an old letter was read by Gene L. Gardner. Softball entertained the young, people in the afternoon and a get-acquainted get-acquainted session and social was held for all. |
