Show BURIAL OF SMALL CHILD AT HYDE PARK Hyde Tark, Sept. 11th. Funeral services for Donnn Christoffersen, the little daughter of Robert and Vlato Christoffersen, were held In the meeting house, Sopt 10th There were a good number of relntlves and friends present to pay tribute of respect res-pect to tho bereaved ones. Tho choir sang "Tho Deeping Trials Throng Your Way" and "Heautlful Isle of Somewhere." Mrs. Jean Llndqulst assisted by Miss Venice Hlllyard on the violin and Mrs. Leah Hancey on the piano sang "Ono Fleeting Hour." Miss L'ulala Leo sang "Little Plnlt Hose." "L'arthly Happiness Is Fleeting" Fleet-ing" was sung by II. S. McQuarrio, Arthur Peterson, F. Dallam and Geo-igo Geo-igo Seamons. Tho following speakers speak-ers gavo many words of consolation to tho bereaved ones nnd bore strong testimony to the resurrection of all man kind and a life beyond the grave Joseph Nielsen, Bishop Win, Winn of Smlthnehl, iilshop Geo. Llndqulst of Logan, J. W. D. Hurron and Bishop C. O. Hyde. Tho opening nnd closing clos-ing prayers were offered by George F. Ashcroft and Heuben A. Perkes. Tho grave was dedicated by Counselor Counsel-or Lorenzo Peterson. Donna Christoffersen Christ-offersen was born Nov. 21, 1915 and died Sept. Sth, 1917. She was n lovely little child and her early taking tak-ing nway Is a sad blow to her parents. par-ents. May loving father give that comfort and consolation so much needed In their hour of trial. Last week while Wm. Gibson was disking land cast of town he was thrown under tho disk and had his leg broken. Ho Is progressing fairly fair-ly well and wo hope to soon see him ' about again. Threshing Is well under way and the grain Is turning out well. One farmer threshed 51C bushels of oati , from 5 1-2 acres of land. While thero aro some very fine fields of beets here, tho crop as a wholo Is about an average one. Diglng beets wil soon commence and then It means work from morn-' Ing till night. Our district schools opened here Monday with tho following teachers: Leonldas Hickman, Homer Hyde, Lu-ella Lu-ella Jones, Mary A. Grant nnd Eva Lee. Tho schools will doubtless closo for a few weeks after beet digging dig-ging begins. Mr. and Mrs. John Mtlllgan of Low-Iston Low-Iston and Mrs. II. W. Ilancey went for nn auto ride Sunday last. Thy went through Gentile valley to Grac thence to Soda Springs, through tho Hear River valley and back ho-ie vh Logan canyon. With several blowouts blow-outs and tire punctures they v--re so delayed that they managed to arr'va at the home of the writer Monday morning at 4 o'clock, a tired, worn out lot. Mrs. Chrlstcnsa Hanson Is remodeling remod-eling and enlarging her house. Quite a number of our young men nre working at tho sugar factory west of Smlthfleld. Mrs. Heber Halls went to the Utah-Idaho Utah-Idaho hospital Monday to have an operation op-eration performed. Tho health of our people at present Is fairly good. |
