Japanese troops havo been landed at Vladivostok, Itussla's great port city on the Pacific. Pac-ific. Chinese troops have entered Harbin Manchuria, to protect their inter-csts. inter-csts. Information to this effect was received re-ceived here today. Harbin is in Manchuria at the eastern terminus of the main line of the trans-Siberian railroad. There are vast supplies of war stores lying In tho warehouses at Valdivostok, which were sold to the Russian Government hy Japan and tho United States. Practically all of these supplies have remained there because of tho interruption of steady traffic on the trans-Siberian railway. It is supposed that agreements existed ex-isted by which these stores were to be used against tho German Powers and the landing of Japanese troops was probably accomplished to prevent tho munitions from being taken over by tho Bolshevlkl. It was recently reported that Bolshevlkl troops wero making their way into Vladivostok. n |
