Those who havo followed the many excellent improvements made In the arious departments at the A.C. of U. in lecent years will no doubt be pleased pleas-ed to read the following highly laudatory lauda-tory comment of the Commetolal Dc-paitment, Dc-paitment, a clipping ftom the Ogdcn Standatd. 1'iof (). .1. Stillwcll, of tho Ogdcn High School's Commerlcal department, de-partment, which Is recognled as having hav-ing no superior and few equals in High Schools of the west or cast, brought a number of his pupils to Logan to look-over look-over the work done here, and the article arti-cle in the Standard comes as a result. The Ogdcn paper says: "Last Ftiday the Ogden Hiuh School commctclal depattmont sent a delegation of ten pupils to visit the commercial dcpailmcntof tho Agricultural Agri-cultural college at Logan. Since the college has Its weekly holiday on Monday Mon-day Instead of Saturday tho visit could be made without absence from high school woik. Simple Yet Perfect. The head of the Logan coinmcrcalj department, I'rof. Hexcll, Is also secretary sec-retary of tho college, being the bookkeeper book-keeper for the institution and handling hand-ling funds amounting to more than SIRO.OOO per annum. On Friday evening even-ing tho delegation was shown through the college books and given a detailed explanation of the entire system of accounting, ac-counting, tiling and checking. Threo years ago the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. prcsenned the Ogtlcn High School with .300 sample sam-ple policies which have been utilized In establishing a nourishing Insuiance company which has not only written policies at home, but has many risks on ctmmerclal students Inotherclties One of the delegates, t eing thu ptesi-dent ptesi-dent of tho insurance company, took this oppoitun'ty to establish an agency agen-cy at Logan. , Charmed With Everything. The visitors impressed great admiration admira-tion for the spacious and elegantly furnished apartments occupied by the collego commercial department. Tlic.v praised the excellent penmanship anil the neatness of individual work, and In many directions weie inspired to make improvements In their own methods for the future. The courteous courte-ous treatment received from faculty and students was thoroughly appreci-ated appreci-ated and caused much favorably comment. com-ment.
