Tho Professor's Pro-fessor's studies were along sociological lines, and while at the University he had opportunity to Investigate certain cer-tain conditions in Chicago. He is well pleased with his trip. . Prof. E. A. Wilson, the new head of languages at tho A. C. of U., arrived in Logan from Ogden last night. Prof. Wilson has been In Chicago this summer, brushing up a little. As head of the Ogden High School, he has made an enviable reputation as a scholar of ability, and he comes to Logan under most favorable allspices. alls-pices. C. of U. of more than ordinary interest In certain circles. Saturday evening about 0 o'clock a terrific wind-storm, traveling at a Lou Dillon gait, struck this city. It didn't last long.but during the time it was with us, the wind blew down a number of trees hi different parts of tho city, and displaced numberless branches. The wind came from the west and brought with It fully two-thirds two-thirds of the dust between the western west-ern mountains and Logan. It was rather amusing to watch the progress of hats that were lifted from many heads ere the owners had time to butt themselves up against something. Mr. Rutt Is a son-in-law of Mr. Geo. Uaugli, and his wife Is also spending some time hero with relatives rel-atives and friends. Prof. Hutt, head of the depaitmcnt of horticulture and botany at tho A.C. of U., lias Just returned from a two month's visit to Agricultural colleges of tho East. Prof. Hutt has proved himself a progressive man In his department, de-partment, has rendered valuable aid to the orchardlsts of the state, and is considered ono of the strong men of the A.C. of U. faculty.
