That's charming, charm-ing, that Is and doesn't It make you feel good to look at It and compaie It with what ton think it could and should be! During the caily spiing there wasadeclded sentiment In favor of Improving the place, and numcious men expressed themselves as being leady and willing to donate goodly sums for the proper maintenance of the same, but they were not given the oppoitunlty of contributing. Quite lecently wo heard a gentleman say that' ho would like to bo one of a thousand to contribute a dollar each, or one of live hundred to contribute 5 each to make that place look something some-thing near like It should. The place Is not only Illy kept so far as Irrigation Is concerned, but the place Is now dirty, unclean, and looks like any other old place that Is left to Itself. This would bo an Ideal place to tako the isltois and hold an open-air meeting, wouldn't It? Why not do this, and show them how enterprising and up-to-date we are. |
