Practically everything Is even now In readiness for the annual convention of the Utah Dairymen's Association which comes hoc next Wednesday and Thursday, and u most pleasant and profitable time Is expected. The convention has been thoiotm'lily advertised and It Is to be hoped that the varied attractions will bring to-gcLlrcr to-gcLlrcr not less than a thousand interested inter-ested in the work. There will piobably be no more than tifty or a bundled fiom out of Cache alley In attendance atten-dance at thcconvcntloh, but among these an a number or the Mate's most successful dahy men, and these have1 places on the program. In the evening Ex-Major Ex-Major Lorenzo Hansen will tell of 'Condensed Milk" and ceitalnly tills is a most opportune subject at the present time. Willi a new condensed milk factory at Richmond, and another anoth-er to begin operations here soon under the direction of Mr. Hansen, the subject sub-ject should hold considerable Intciest for every milk pioduccr in the count v. Prof. It. V. Clark, of the A.C. of U. will also talk on Wednesday evening and will give cxpeit testimony on 'Feeding Daily Cows." Wednesday's session will undoubtedly undoubted-ly hold great Interest for those In attendance at-tendance and as many as possible should be, thcie. It must be temem-bered temem-bered that all of the Wednesday sessions ses-sions arc held In the basement of the Tabernacle, while Thuisday's sessions, with the exception of the evenlng.wlll be held at the Agiicultuial College. UUu Thursday the Cache Valley ijfrnicrs, under the auspices of the Cache Valley Farmers' Association, will hold a convention at the Agricultural Agricul-tural College, at 11 o'clock. Two meetings meet-ings will he held, one for the men and one for the women. At one o'clock the Domestic Science Department of the College will serve luncheon to the risitors. Caterer Johnson has been engaged to assist in this, and will pio-vide pio-vide 2,500 sandwiches. In the afternoon after-noon practical demonstrations will be given with hoises, cattle, sheep, hogs and poultry. Dining sessions on both days, good music will be furnished, and the whole alfalr will be made as attractive and pleasing as possible. See full program elsewhere. |
