Show 329 DESCENDANTS All Living, Has "Mother" Archibald of Wellsville. A birthday celebration of more than passing Interest was held here Wednesday Wed-nesday when relatives from Canada, Oregon. Idaho, and many other places in Utah were gathered together to do honor to Mother Archibald on the occasion oc-casion of the 8f)tli anniversary of her natal day. The reception was held in the commodious home of her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Hendry. The limit of space precludes any attempt to name all who attended. Table was laid for 103 and It was occupied sovcral times. A tine program of choice musical selections selec-tions was given by Prof. I). L. Walters and Dr. Phillips, which, with songs, recitations and addresses entertained the large assemblage till a late hour. The following data concerning Mrs. Archibald arc very Interesting indeed. Kli.abeth Russell Archibald was born on February lltb, 1818 in Sholts, Linlithgowshire, Lin-lithgowshire, Scotland, her parents being be-ing small farmers. She married Thos. Archibald In 18;t( being then but seventeen years of age. Was baptized into the Church or Jesus Christ or Latter-day Saints In 1847. Her husband hus-band died in 1857. She bore her husband hus-band ten children six or them are living, liv-ing, her eldest son, John, being on a mission to Scotland, and her second, Alexander, being a member or the Wellsville City Council. Robert, another an-other son, lives at. Rexburg, Idaho; a daughter, Kli.abeth, at Teton, and a son, Andrew, at Caidston, Canada, in addition to those children men tioned above this truly grand old lady Is grandmother to 112 children, great-grandmother great-grandmother to 207 and gieat-grcat-grandmother to 4 all of whom are alive.
