"I was' his personnl representatlvo In Utah" ctcl Ho further says "I regard nominations by the committee com-mittee advisory." On theso grounds Mr. Martin-can Martin-can expects to land the prize, and It goes without baying that ho has mhny friends who wish him well Tho wenk point, however, In Mr. Martlneau's campaign, .In our opinion, Is his position with the state committee. If as ho says he "was the origin-nl origin-nl Wilson man In Utah," and the President's "personal "per-sonal representative" why did ho not impress this upon tho state committee and get tho endorsement ot the committee? If he tried to do so and failed will ho bo successful in impressing upon the officials offi-cials at Washington what ho could not do at home? And finally would Mr. Martlneau havo tho Bame opinion of nominations by the state committee if he had received the nomination? |
