Show The Mendon Weekly News MENDON, Feb 0 Friday evening of' last week a concert and play was given In the meeting house, for the benefit of -our Sunday schooi. The house was crowded. , . A genuine surprlso ou Principal II. II. Thompson was given at the residence resi-dence of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. H. Hard-man, Hard-man, by forty of his students. The evening was spent In singing, reciting, jokes, games and muslo, supper being served about eleven o'clock. It was an evening long to be remembered by the students as well as their teacher. The basketball team did not go to Hyde Park as was intended, the deep snow preventing the game. Whitney's orchestra goes to Collins-ton Collins-ton every Wednesday to give a dance at night. Adam Glen, of Wcllsvlllc, and Mr. Olscn, of Collego ward,are visiting our town this week as home missionaries. Mrs. Farris Jones has returned to her homo at Bingham Canyon after spending several months In Mendon and Logan. Wiar Baker, of RexbuVg, is spending a few days with relatives and friends In Mendon. |
