Joseph Appleyard, manager of the Elea-tric Elea-tric Light plant, is. lying at his home in a critical, condition, the result of being kicked by a horse several times. It apears that in trying to catch or hold his horse he was kicked and' in some way the strip wa fastened fast-ened to his hand and then he w,na dragged a distance from the light plant, receiving kicks from the horse, and otherwise being bruised. bruis-ed. At the present time ho is improving im-proving nnd it is expected ho will be able to attend to his duties in a week or so. On account of this accident we have practically been without electric light the past two nights. Last week tho store belonging to James Unsworth was burglarized burglar-ized by Andrew Albcrtscn Jr., it is said, at about 1:30 a. m. As it happened, Samuel Unsworth was passing the store and noticed the glass in tho window nnd door was broken, evidently in order to allow al-low a person to enter. Young Unsworth went into tho store and there says ho found tho Albcrtscn boy at work. Tho trial has not yet been set. Such occurrences oc-currences have been altogether too frequent in the past. Funeral services over the remains re-mains of Thomas Smith, nineteen-year-old son of Mrs. Clara Smith, were hold in tho 2nd ward meeting meet-ing house at 3 p. m. Sunday. The speakers were Charles A.
