All fall and spring grain looks well, and sugar beets that are up never looked better. All kinds of fruit trees aro, heavily loaded with blossoms. For a few years back 1 havo planted a few potatoes very early and I havo had I new potatoes in June. Tho way I, have saved them from tho early frost: is by making troughs of boards ten or twelve Inches wide, Two boards nall-i ed together In a V shape placed over the potatoes keeps them from tho frosts better than anything else. Our waterworks are doing well.thcro being water In a good many houses at tlrts time, and hydrants have been placed on tho lawns. Many Improvements Improve-ments are going on, additions put to houses, and now houses being built. Ruslncss is a little slack at present owing to tho bad weather wo have I been having. j |
