Show B1SKOP WARREN FOR AtcKINLEY. From the Denver Republican: Bishop Bish-op Henry W. Warren left last night for Oklahoma City, where he will preside over the Methodist conference. At the close of the conference Bishop Warren will go to New York to attend the national na-tional missionary meetings, his entire trip occupying forty days. Before leaving leav-ing Denver the bishop regretted the necessity of taking the trip at this particular par-ticular time. "I am sorry that my duties call me away at this most critical period," said he. "I feel it to be of the utmost importance im-portance to elect President MeKinley again and it grieves me to be compelled to lose my vote. I have every confidence confi-dence in President MeKinley and I think as President Lincoln did, that there is no use changing horses in the middle of the stream. There are grave and great problems to be worked out by this country during the next four years. And it is vitally necessary Ihat we have tried and true statesmen like President MeKinley who are familial' with and capable of handling the weighty questions. I consider the present pres-ent election to be the most important which has been held since the election j of President Lincoln." |
