Show " " - - ' ;? Zt SETS RECORD TIME. George Hartle-maier Hartle-maier glides through the giant slalom gate on way to setting record time in event at Brian Head this past week.. Although not competing Hartlemaier's time was the best of the day. 52 compete in Brian Head Slalom Ronnow captured the Junior Mens class (under 18) in the top time of the day. In second sec-ond place was Kent Sullivan of Cedar City with 55.6 and third place went to Jeff Hunter Hun-ter also ot Cedar City with a 56.2 timing. In the Powder Puff Derby it was Kathy Metherell of Cedar City posting a 58.3, Nik-ki Nik-ki Dessaux of Running Springs Calif, was second with 59.-and 59.-and third place went to Terri Spratt of Las Vegas, Nev. witlh 64.9. Running the course and posting the best time of the day, although not in competition competi-tion was "the old man of Brian Head" the genial gentleman gen-tleman Georg Hartlmaier who posited a sizzling 52.7 seconds over the courfe. Tom Edwards of the Brian Head Ski Patrol walked off with top honors in tlr professional pro-fessional class of the Giant Slalom held this past weekend week-end at Brian Head. Edwards was one of 52 entrants en-trants in four classifications to compete in the event Although Al-though Edwards won the professional pro-fessional division the top time posted for the day was turned in by Lorin Ronnow of Cedar City in the Junior Men's Class. Ronnow'a time was 54 4 seconds. Edwards won his class with a tine of 555 seconds. In second place was Kevin Walker Wal-ker of Parowan with 55.9 and third place went to Danny Edwards of Brian Head Ski Patrol with a time of 56 seconds sec-onds flat. The senior mens class (18 and over) was won by Sterling Sterl-ing Simklns of Cedar City in 57 seconds. Second place was hn Mulderig of Salt Lake City with 57.8 and in third place was Kim Sullivan of Cedar City with 59.8. |
