Show Pneumonia claims Pearl Paramore; honored at rites Pearl Mortensen May Paramore, 71, of Parowan, died in the Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City of pneumonia. Born in Parowan September 26, 1903 to Samuel Carson and Sarah Sophonia Hansen Mortensen. Mor-tensen. She lived most of her married life in California where she was employed at the Naval Base during World War II, she also worked for the Oakford Drug Company in Long Beach, Calif, and as a cashier for various firms. She married Jack May in Orange, Calif, on January 26, 1926. He died Oct. 22, 1945. Married Frank Paramore on Jan. 23, 1954 in Henderson, Nev. He died January 21, 1971. Survivors include four brothers: Albert R. Mortensen, Frank O. Mortensen, Vern C. Mortensen, and Clifford L. Mortensen all of Parowan. Graveside services were held Friday July 18 1975 at 11 a.m. with burial in the Parowan City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Southern Utah Mortuary. |
