Show ENOCH and MIDVALLEY By Veda Matheson The two Enoch Wards are combining for the traditional July 24th celebration. The Enoch ' Second Ward will be the host Ward and will sponsor a parade after the parade in Cedar City, followed by a special meeting and program and then by the sale of lunch. There will be the traditional sports, and in the evening an old time dance will be held at the church. Come and join us for a really good time. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Grimshaw have a new baby boy at their house. He was born recently at the Valley View Medical Center. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Maxwell also welcomed a new baby boy last week. Mr. and Mrs. Rick Johnson had the pleasure of welcoming twin boys at their house, also born last week at the Valley View Medical Center. Bishop and Mrs. Ivan Matheson were in Salt Lake last week on business. They were accompanied as far as Delta by their son Ivan who spent two days visiting with Bart Wankier. Bill Sherratt returned this weekend after spending the past two weeks at National Guard Camp. While he was away, Darlene and the boys visited in California with her family. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Cooper and boys stopped overnight with the Orin Speirs family. Mr. and Mrs. Gaylen Matheson and family were in Tropic on Saturday to attend the Johnson reunion. Shauna Culbertson spent a few days in the hospital last week with a blood infection. She is at home now and doing fine. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Armbruster enjoyed a visit from Mitzi's sister Helen Rainey and four of her granddaughters. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Jones and family were in Salt Lake over the weekend to attend a family reunion. Dolph and Beverly Grimshaw enjoyed a visit over last weekend from Mr. and Mrs. John Pratt, Dave and Danny Busath, Ann Castleton and Tim Wizer of Salt Lake. The young people were here to enjoy the Shakespearean Festival and remained to hear Gail Grimshaw report her mission. She has recently returned from 18 months in the Phillipines for the LDS Church. The Grimshaws also received word that another son, Michael Pratt is participating in the Hill Cumorrah Pageant in N Y. State. |
