Show Jehovah's Witnesses to hold confab in Vegas A four-day district convention of Jehovah's Witnesses in Las Vegas, Nev. July 24-27, will stress Divine solutions to human problems. The meeting, expected to attract at-tract 4500 delegates, will be held at the Convention Center with a theme, "Divine Sovereignty." Paul Sekela, circuit overseer of the Nevada area, discussed the importance of the program and stressed the human need of lasting peace and security. "In recent decades," he said, "more and more talk has centered cen-tered on the need for a world government of some kind. The problems affecting the human family are principally the same in all nations and yet solutions to these problems has eluded us. "The lack of trust among the leadership of nations is apparent," ap-parent," Sekela said. Commenting Com-menting on the overall problem Sekela said that the basic factor in the inability of men to solve global problems is human selfishness. Sekela said the convention program would be devoted to a full explanation of , man's problems-human survival-and explain in detail how it will be achieved. The public is invited. All seats are free and no collection is taken. |
