Show Happy Homemaking Hints by Janet Weaver We are used to using hamburger in casseroles, Enchiladas, etc. but prices as they are today, we may find that we'd like to try some of these items with a different meat. How about trying these chicken dishes? Twenty-four Hour Chicken Casserole Wrap a large chicken in foil and bake in 400 deg. oven until done. Save juice. When cool, take meat off bones in large chunks. Mix: 12 corn tortillas, torn in pieces (save a few for the top) 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 can Cheddar cheese soup 1 can green chili sauce 1 chopped onion 1 1 cup milk Liquid from chicken Grated Cheddar cheese (as much or as little as desired). Pour in baking dish, cover with tortilla pieces and grated cheese. Refrigerate 24 hours. Bake at 300 deg. for 12 hours. |
