Show i Parowan El. Students enjoy Party PAFOWAN - Parowan Elementary students were all invited to a birthday paty last Friday at their school. The party was held in honor of the eighteenth birthday of the elementary school building. The special day was sponsored by the PTA under the direciton of PTA president Douglas Vincint and Principal Floyd Matheson. The day began with a hat contest. Everyone wore hats they brought from home or made in class and a panel of judges chose winners. Winning hats were worn by Danna Day, Jeanette Batt, Debbie Guymon, Colleen Matheson, Collette Orton, Cindy Tobler, Scott Larson, LeAnne Larson, Rainy Guymon, Ann Hollinger, Lori Lowder, Tammy Savage, Darla Vincint, Ryan Rowley, Kriste Williamson and Herbie White. Honorable mention went ot Mr. Wilkins class and Mrs. Riggs and Ms. Tophams classes. The afternoon af-ternoon festivities included a big party in the multipurpose multi-purpose room with a huge birthday cake dcorated by Beverly Carter and adorned with 18 candles, all the students and faculty enjoyed delicious brownies and punch, and an afternoon of fun and dancing "Old Time" and modern dancing. Dress for the day included not only the hats but styles of the '50s with slicked down hair and rolled up jeans and pony tails. Everyone had a very enjoyable time. |
