Show m Y I 0 Lettcrs Ufeu . To The rjh Editor Dear Editor: We at the Utah Shakespearean Festival would sincerely like to acknowledge the Old English architectural ar-chitectural trend which is appearing on business buildings located on Cedar City's Main Street. This Tudor appearance helps the Festival's image with tourists and Festival guests, and in turn these visitors become customers of Cedar City's Main Street businesses, both during the Festival and also during the rest of the year. Del Rich Real Estate Company occupies a a key location in Cedar City ; their building design and unique Old English motif in their advertising is drawing attention from the region and is greatly appreciated. Cedar Cinema and Hunter-Cowan are to be commended for their recent new-old look, and Sullivan's Cafe, Ron's Sporting Goods, Bradshaw Auto Parts, Jolley's Boot Shop and Mr. R's have also incorporated Old English store fronts. Perhaps Hansen Pharmacy was the first business in Cedar City to do so. We are especially excited about the possibility of an Old English Main Street. Not only will it add a unified image and charm to the city, but can become a drawing card to customers and tourists from all over the country. From all of us at the Utah Shakespearean Festival, sincere ' thanks to those main street mer- j chants for their vision and imagination. Sincerely yours, Fred C. Adams Producing Director |
