Show State Road Worker Injured in Truck, Car Collisio n Hills Orton, local highway worker, had a close call on Christmas night while clearing clear-ing snow from Highway 91 near the Lunt Park on Highway High-way 91. With heavy snow falling fall-ing in that area, he and other workers from the Parowan shed were clearing snow from that section of the highway. At about 7 p. m. with snow falling steadily, an abandoned abandon-ed snow-covered car suddenly lcjmed up in front of his truck. The car had stalled in the storm and had been left on the shoulder of the road. In the storm Orton's truck caught it, and both vehicles went off the road with the truck tipping tip-ping over. Orton suffered cuts and bruises about the head and face, but made his way up onto the highway just as Veil Taylor came along in his truck. The latter radioed the shed, foreman, S. C. Benson then brought the injured man into town where they were met at the shed by Benson, who took the injured man to the hospital for treatment. He was released from the hospital the next morning and' was able to return to work on Monday morning. I |
