'iir , ; - 1 MR. AN MRS. RONALD J. BIGELOV7 Rites Unite Bigelow, Overson tume was a navy blue dress with white accessories. The newlyweds spent a week honeymooning in Phoenix, Phoe-nix, Arizona. Pre-nuptial courtesies include in-clude a shower given for the bride at the home of Mrs. Garth Nelson by Mrs. Ted Spillsbury and Mrs. Steve Smith. The bride is a graduate of Cedar High and is now a junior jun-ior at CSU. She is majoring in English, has been a member of Chi Sigma Upsilon and was a flag twirler. The bridegroom graduated from South Summit High School, spent one year at Dixie Dix-ie College and has just completed com-pleted a mission for the LDS Church in Scotland. He is now attending CSU where he is majoring in Business Administration. Admin-istration. The young couple will make their home in Cedar while they both attend college. Rites solemnized in the St. George Temple united Miss Sharon Overson and Ronald J. Bigelow on Dec. 27. Pres. Atkins At-kins officiated at the double ring ceremony-Mr. ceremony-Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Overson, Ov-erson, 525 N. 300 W., Cedar City are the parents of the bride; and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Bigelow, Kamas. Following trie ceremony a wedding breakfast was held 1 in "the Jolly King Restaurant in St. George for the family and friends of the newlyweds. It was hosted by the Bigelows. The newlyweds were further honored at a reception in the Cedar 3rd-4th Ward Cultural Hall that evening. An Open House in their honor will be held in Kamas January 3. The bride was simple elegance ele-gance in a Princess style gow" of heavy brocade satin. The beauty of the straight lines was accented by tiny covered buttons and plain satin ruffles ruf-fles down the front of the bodice bod-ice and at the wrists of the long tapered sleeves- Her shoulder length veil fell gently gent-ly from a satin pillbox, and she carried a bouquet of red roses and white lilys. Mrs. Ted Spillsbury was matron of honor and Miss Margo Overson was maid of honor. Miss Diane Dobson was bridesmaid. The trio wore street length red velvet dresses dres-ses and carried long stem white mums trimmed with red ribbon to carry out the color scheme of red and white. Both mothers wore off-white bonded crepe with red rose corsages. A brother of the bridegroom, Jim Bigelow, stood as best man; and the ushers were Larry Overson, Larry Gittins, and Ted Spillsbury. Refreshments were catered by Mrs. Larene Bradshaw, and Mrs. Connie Nelson, Mrs. Va Laine Bladen, Mrs. Rachel Hunt, anr Mrs. Betty Matheson Mathe-son helped in the kitchen. Serving was done by Misses Alida Ruth Overson, Jolyn Bennett, Kathryn Rowley, Dor-eon Dor-eon Bishop, Tamara Hunt, and Gina Mitchell. The gifts were taken care of by June Foulkes, Linda Whet-ton, Whet-ton, Nancy Jorgenson, and Kathy Tones; and Janet Pres-eott Pres-eott presided at the guest book. Out of Town guests included grandparents of the bride, Mr-and Mr-and Mrs. Clifton Posh, Levan; Mr. and Mrs. Clemont Bennett, Ben-nett, Delta; Mrs. Grant Over-son, Over-son, Leamington, and Mrs. Shirley Jorgenson and son, Kamas.
