The Schoenfeld-Daniel Trio will appear in concert in Cedar City Monday, March 9. It is the final selection of the season sea-son for the Cedar City Music Arts Association. Schoenfeld-Daniel Trio to perform for Music Arts The SUSC Music Building Recital Hall will be the scene of the next Music Arts por- most Liszt pianist. The program performed by the Trio will include works by Beethoven, Brahms, Bohuslav Martinu and contemporary composers Heitor Villa-Lobos and Walter Piston, a native American. formance by the Schoenfeld-, Schoenfeld-, Daniel Trio on Monday, March 9, at 8:15 p. m. Chamber and string music enthusiasts are sure to enjoy the program by the Trio, characterized in one review as "A beautifully balanced trio working superbly together, no one trying to star himself above the others. Flawless technique is here combined in a most fortunate manner with true musicianship, sensitivity and an unerring feeling for style." European-born Alice and Eleonore Schoenfeld started their careers as child prodigies, prodi-gies, receiving their training in Germany. Each a virtuoso in her own right. They have given numerous recitals and have played as soloists with the Philharmonic and leading Radio Orchestras all over Europe. They now make their home in California and annually an-nually concertize in the United Unit-ed States, Canada, Europe and the Far East. The other member of the Trio, Erno Daniel, is a Hungarian-born pianist who made his debut with the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra. He was on.e of the youngest artists art-ists ever to be appointed Professor Pro-fessor at the Royal Academy of Music and received the Franz Liszt Stipend given by the City of Budapest to a fore- |
