Show City plans $1 million budget Cedar City fiscal budget for 1973 will exceed one million dollars, it is reported by May-or May-or Loren A. Whetten. Biggest item on the budget which is now in the process of adopting before the fiscal year begins, will be improvements improve-ments at the Cedar City Municipal Muni-cipal Airport. Airport improvement plus an addition to the Administrative Administra-tive building will range near three quarters of a million dollars, dol-lars, the Mayor indicated. The addition to the administration admin-istration building is already underway, he reports, at a cost of $124,000 which is expected ex-pected to be amortized out over a 10 year period under terms of a lease agreement signed with the Federal Aviation Avia-tion Administration. The major portion of the other improvements will be through grant monies available avail-able through the FFA, the state cf Utah and a special grant through the Four Corners Cor-ners Region, the Mayor said. Other major source of income in-come for the proposed budget will Include $223,000 from property tax, and $145,000 from sales tax. Contract for improvements at the airport is expected to be signed and underway in the verv near future, the Mayor May-or concluded. |
