Show Services held for William H. Tait Funeral services for William Huntsman Tait were held in the Cedar Fourth Ward chapel Saturday, March 15, under the direction of Bishop DeVon Reeves. Mr. Tait died March 12, 1909 of a heart attack in I'loasan-ton, I'loasan-ton, Calif, where he was working work-ing at the Green Oaks Stables. Sta-bles. He was the sixth child of a family of ten born to Robert Francis and Edith Huntsman Tait. He married LaVinia Stevenson Ste-venson Muiliner Oct. 2!, 1945 at Ely, Nev. Survivors include his widow and the following stepchildren: stepchil-dren: Mrs. Orland (Elaine) Jensen, Rex Tait, Pleasanton, Calif.; Mrs. John (Doris) Mur-rish, Mur-rish, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Laurence Lau-rence (Corrine) Brantgeg, Ba-kersfield, Ba-kersfield, Calif.; Mrs. M. D. (Shirley) Bowman, Militas, Calif.; Mrs. Gary (Alice) Peterson, Pet-erson, Salt Lake City, and Ace Muiliner, Tulsa, Okla. Also Al-so surviving are 24 grandchil-l grandchil-l dren and three great-greatgrandchildren and the follow-' follow-' ing brothers and sisters: George Tait, Central; Orson Tait, Cedar City; Terry H. Tait, Murray; Myrtle Lynn, Panguitch, and Addrcan All-sop, All-sop, Midvale. I Speakers at the services in-' in-' eluded John M. Brown and Don Tait with remarks by Bishop Reeves. Prayer at the mortuary was by George Tait. Invocation was given by Norman Nor-man Lister and benediction by Terry Tait, and the dedication dedica-tion of the grave by Lister Hallman. Prelude and postlude music was by Ada Palmer and the mussical program included a mixed quartet consisting of Herschel Neeley, George Manning, Man-ning, Zelda Smith and Shirley Shir-ley Stratton singing "Though Deepening Trials", a vocal duet "Coming Down the Canyon", Can-yon", by George D. Grimshaw and Elwin Armstrong, and a vocal solo "These Hands" by Ferrol Tait. |
