Th.e Stu- dent Education Association produced the greatest number of workers with 76. However, many other groups turned out , in high numb.2rs on a percentage per-centage basis, according to Dan Jones, CSU student body president. Some 350 students, faculty members, administrators and townspeople formed a human conveyor belt at College of Southern Utah March 18 to transfer some 45,000 books from the old library to the new library building. Beginning at 8 a., m., the volunteers worked throughout the day to push the project along. The line began next to the stacks in the old library and ended at the stacks in the new library. Each book was pat in its proper place on the shelves as it was received in the new building. Those who had to leave their 1 places in line were replaced by other workers and the oper-1 ation continued uninterrupted. Hot chocolate was served throughout the day to sustain th.e crew against fatigue and |
