Show Cub Scouts Gather For Social, Honor Cub Master Cub Scout Pack 334, made up of boys from the Parowan Second and Paragonah Wards, got together for their regular meeting last Friday night on the Church grounds and tennis ten-nis court at Paragonah, with the gathering reported to be a big success, by Mrs. Lonald Robinson. The meeting included a social so-cial evening, with the parents of the cubs invited, an advancement ad-vancement ceremony, refreshments, refresh-ments, and a tribute to the Cubmaster of the pack, George Banks, who has moved from Parowan to Lund because of his work on the railroad. The parents of the boys enjoyed en-joyed the sports program as the boys engaged in relay races with T-pushers, tires, sack races and fun games of Leap Frog and tumbling. This activity was rollowed by re-fresments re-fresments consisting of popcorn, pop-corn, cookies and punch. A number of advancements and awards were presented to pack members by Mr. George Banks, cub master Among them were three-year service stars to Gary Banks, Bart Dal-ton Dal-ton and John Bayles; two-year service stars to Elliot Warren, Gary Lynn Barton and Nor- man Robinson. This is Mr. Banks' last time at the Pack meeting and those in charge expressed their appreciation ap-preciation for his fine work and leadership. The leaders are now seeking someone to fill the vacancy caused by Mr. Banks leaving. Den leaders, Milton and Pauline Poulson, Ellen Bayles Bay-les and LaRae Robinson extend ex-tend their thanks to everyone for their cooperation in the work. |
