Show Little League Race To Be Decided By Make-up Games With three games being played since the last report, play in the Parowan Little League baseball program ended end-ed on Tuesday evening, and resulted in Burton's 66 and Dave's American tying for the championship, as of now. But there are three unplayed games on the back schedule, two caused by the District Tournament held here two weeks ago and one caused by a storm. These games will bo played this week end or next if arrangements ar-rangements can be made. July 29, the winless Lions-Paragonah Lions-Paragonah team picked up its first win of the season by downing Burtons 66 by a 4 to 3 score. Russell Mortensen picked up the win for Lions-Paragonah Lions-Paragonah with Johnny Dalton Dal-ton being charged with the loss. On Monday night the Lions-Paragonah Lions-Paragonah team continued its winning ways with a 7 to 5 victory over the Bank of Iron County team with David Lamoreaux getting the win and Richard Day being charged charg-ed with the loss. Tuesday night the two leading lead-ing teams, Dave's American and Burton's 66 met with the "66"ers taking the win by a 7 to 4 score Chris Bentley picked up the win for Burton's and Donnie Winn took the loss for Dave's American. Thursday, Aug. 1 the Cal.-Pac. Cal.-Pac. team from the Cedar City Pony League came to Parowan Paro-wan to meet Farmer's Supply team from the Parowan Senior Sen-ior league. In this one Kenny Adams of Farmer's Supply and L. Chamberlain of the Cal-Pac. team engaged in a close pitching duel with the visiting team winning by a 4 to 3 score. |
