Show Beautification Target Date Set August 26, is a date that should serve as a target data for residents of Cedar City. On this date, according to Forrest Hunter, Beautification Chairman Chair-man a team of judges will arrive ar-rive to evaluate our beautification beautifi-cation effort. This gives us less than three weeks to make our City presentable. The Committee is busy putting put-ting final touches on our entry en-try scrap book which helps to tell the story of the things we have done. According to Mr. Hunter, it is quite impressive. But, "Seeing is believing," and on Aug. 26, our judges will take an un-guided tour to see our town for themselves. There are, in our Commun-i Commun-i ity, many areas which do not add beauty to our town, Mr. Hunter reports. The Committee would again like to urge individuals in-dividuals to get busy on the unsightly weeds. In some areas ar-eas it is not a case of making things beautiful as much as that of making them clean and respectable. First, do the areas which are visable from the street, especially along the ditches and the curb strips. "Please help our Committee by putting in some last minute effort on city beautification before the dead line which is August 26. Again let us express ex-press our appreciation for all that you have accomplished." |
