Earl Hanson, vice president and manager of the Southern Utah division of California-Pacific California-Pacific Utilities Co. will be installed as president of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce Com-merce at ceremonies to be per- I formed this evening. j The annual installation banquet will be held at the Escalante Cultural Center at 8 p. m. The banquet is open to the pubLc. Guest speaker for the event wdl be Congressman Snerman P. Lloyd (R-Utah), representative representa-tive from the First Congressional Congres-sional District of Utah. I Others to be installed at the banquet include Eugen T. Wooif, vice president, and Bert Ashman, Gail Bradshaw, Mortin Pratt and Willard Jones, to the board of directors. direc-tors. Martel Easton has also been named to fill the unexpired term of Darwin Whitaker as a member of the board. Completing the board for the coming year are holdover members Bruce Atkin, Tom Cardon, Adrian Bunting, and Tom Brown as immediate past president. A report of the activities of the Chamber of Commerce for the part year will be made by Mr. Brown and by Wilford Day, executive secretary of the organization. Hansen is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and a veteran of World War II serving serv-ing in the artillery with the U. S. Army. Prior to his affiliation with California-Pacific he was associated as-sociated with Northern State Power Co. as a sales engineer .rom 1933 to 1918. In 1918 !ie joined Union Diesel Engine Co. as a sales engineer and n 1950 went with Safeway 'tores, Inc. as a rate and ser .ice eng'neer. In 1952 he '.lined Ca'.ifornia-Paeific Util-ties Util-ties Company and moved to Cedar City as a vice presiden' and Southern Utah division manager in 1960. |
