Show CSU Hosts Leadership Conference for 4-H Some 40 leaders in 4-H work from Iron, Garfield, Kane, Washington Wash-ington and Beaver Counties met at College of Southern Utah, Mar. 18 through 20 for special leadership leader-ship training. Instruction for leaders in clothing, cloth-ing, foods and home improvement improve-ment was given by specialists from Utah State University Extension Ex-tension Service including Flora Bardwell, foods and nutrition: Petha Johnson, clothing; and Rhea Gardner, home manage-1 ment. An expanded program for older 4-H members was an added feature of the conference. Glen Balrd and Amy Kearsley, USU staff members and leaders for the state 4-H program were also in attendance. A banquet Wednesday evening honored 4-H leaders having ten years of service or more in the organization. The banquet and travel expenses ex-penses for the visiting speciaMsts were provided by Kennecott Copper Cop-per Company. Wallace Sjoblom, Iron County Extension Agent, was in change of local arrangements. |
