He brought the wallet home immediately and we notified the Utah State Highway Patrol dispatcher dis-patcher in Cedar City as well as our local police, thinking perhaps per-haps he might inquire if a wallet wal-let had been reported found. That night we also sent a letter to the man's address in Nebraska, telling tell-ing him that we had his wallet and that we would be happy to return it to him if he would notify no-tify us where to send it. "About ten days later we received re-ceived a letter from his daughter daugh-ter in California, telling us of his experience." The letter among other things thanked thank-ed the Stubbs family for taking the time to try to find the owner own-er of the wallet. The daughter also thanks Keith and stated that "one should be proud of a boy who was not tempted to keep the cash and throw the wallet wal-let away." She further stated that her father fa-ther was on his way to California from Nebraska and apparently the wallet slipped from his pocket as he stepped from his car. He did not miss it until he had his car filled with gas Just as ne entered California and recounted the story of his embarassmcnt and how he had to make the service station attendant believe his story.
