Show University Women Plan Summer Social at CSU Ranch Saturday, Sept 12 at 5:00 p.m. the first party of the Cedar City Branch of the American Association Associa-tion of University Women will be held at the College of Southern Utah Ranch. Mrs. Bert Carpenter, chairman of the food committee, has planned a lovely supper. Mrs. Walter Olsen has planned a clever cle-ver program for the evening. The Cedar City branch, which Is open to all women in the area who have received a bachelor of science degree from an accredited accredit-ed college, is now beginning its sixth year. According to officers, a very Interesting In-teresting program is planned for the coming year and will follow the theme of "Local Problems and Programs." All Interested women who are eligible should contact Mrs. Walter Olson at JUG-8136, JUG-8136, the group membership cnairman. Mrs. Bruce Decker has been named as president of the Cedar City Branch of the American Association As-sociation of University Women, it was announced this week by Mrs. Gary W. Little, publicity director. Mrs. Decker will serve at the helm of the Cedar City branch through the 1959-60 year succeeding suc-ceeding Mrs. George J. Cony, Im mediate past president Other officers named to serve with Mrs. Decker Include Mr. M. F. Burgess, first vice president; Mrs. Walter Olson, second vice president; Mrs. Clifton W. John son, secretary and Mrs. Frank Jensen, treasurer.
