Show VilliamT. Hunter Succumbs in Salt Lake j ' Funeral services are being hold this afternoon, Thursday, in the First Ward chapel for William Wil-liam T. Hunter, Sr.. 80, long-time resident of Cedar City, who died in Salt Lake City Monday' following fol-lowing a lingering illness. He died at the home of his daughter. Mrs. Parley H. J. Timothy, who had been caring for him for some time. The body was brought to Cedar City this morning for burial in the Cedar City cemetery follow, ing the services conducted by Bishop Parson U. Webster. Mr. Hunter was born rn Cedar City on May 21, 1875. a son of George and Elizabeth Murie Hunter, prominent earJy residents of the community. On March 9, 1923. he married ' Laura Stockdale in the St George LDS Temple, and they had made their home here most of the time .since. He had engaged in livestock live-stock raising and farming during dur-ing most of his life. An active church worker he was a member of the Seventies Quorum of the First Ward at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow, Cedar City; three sons and two daughters, William T. Hunter. Jr., and Mrs. Timothy, Salt Lake City; George Phillip Hunter, Cedar Ce-dar City; Alma R. Hunter, Lubbock, Lub-bock, Texas, and Mrs. Lawrence W. Croft. Paramount. Calif. Also surviving is one sister. Mrs. Rose H. Lunt, Salt Lake City, and nine grandchildren. |
