Services Held for Former Parowan Resident Graveside services under the direction of the Masonic Lodge were held in Riverside, Calif, on Dec. 26 for George E. Chilton. 73, former Parowan resident Mr. Chilton died at Riverside Dec. 21 of a heart ailment. Mr. Chilton was owner and operator op-erator of the Parowan Auto Co. here for about 19 years between 1921 and 1940, when he and his wife, Mayme Chilton, sold the business to Ken Doan of Cedar City, and moved to Cali'ornlt. He was an active community worker while here and was an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and Gun and Red Club. The Chiltons came to Salt Lake City from Muncie, Ind, and then came to Parowan about 1921. Survivors are his widow, one son, Homer, Salt Lake City; one daughter, Mrs. Harriet Kalgler. Washington, D. C; three grandchildren grand-children and six great-grandchildren.
